That's almost 15 years ago, no one was taking us seriously when we were talking about contemporary magic. We needed to fulfill this vision with contemporary dancers embodying these theatrical illusions in a complex narrative structure.  Many very "light" symbols around Narcisse's myth: the diffraction of light in the water, the splitting of the light beam, the different colors of a single character,...  Sort of an Albertine en cinq temps.  We had an amazing time with those five performers, taking them far from what traditional magic would have them do. Of course, the Dance peoples wanted more dance, the Magic peoples wanted more magic !  Maybe it's time for a revisit.  (And yes, it's a grainy video, that's pre-HD.)
