Just For Laughs

During Nick Piazza's famous "I want to make magic" scene,  Montreal's director Serge Postigo was litteraly imagining "every single line jump right off the page".  Indeed, in his french adaption of the dynamic musical, « les pages prennent vie » (the pages take life).  I came late in the creation process (surprise me!) and I proposed this image from a poetry festival poster I came across on the subway.  Then, things went very fast.  I ended up reusing similar technical solutions I invented for Nebbia (Cirque Éloize & Teatro Sunil) in 2008.  I'm pretty pleased with the result, especially with the fact that the illusion was totally autonomous, creating goosebumps every of the 40 nights while I was at home sipping a mojito : )_
