The first time we sat with Daniele Finzi Pasca and Jeannot Painchaud in 2007 to talk about what would be the last opus of the sky trilogy (Nomade, Rain), they summed it up in two words:  smoke & mirrors.  We were early in the writing process so we had the pleasure of pitching numerous magic ideas and visual concepts, many of which are still being used today by the Compania Finzi Pasca.  We built and experiment a lot of them and settled on a few simple efficient ideas, our favorite being the smoke emanating from the skin (Smoke Dances).  And it made its way as the official poster of the show.
